This number had to be somehow collected from an undergraduate membership of about 2000. When I stepped down as Executive Director of Delta Kappa Epsilon in 2009, our insurance premium was over $175,000 with an additional $25,000 self-insured retention, and had reached over $300,000 before we became a member of FRMT (described later). It now appears that 18 young men will face criminal charges including Involuntary Manslaughter in the criminal case. However, the death of Timothy Piazza revealed what is going on behind the doors of at least one and probably several of the Greek Chapters on Campus. Well-heeled alumni of the groups funnel buckets of money into their "houses" annually. The Greek "Mansions" housing the undergraduate members are solid brick, privately owned state of the art facilities.

Annually Penn State, through its Dance Marathon, raises more charitable money than any other Greek System anywhere.
